Singers - The concert in Knowle Green Village Hall given by The Valley Singers, of Longridge, was very well received. The traditional and modern romantic songs and ballads reminded everyone that Valentine’s Day was approaching and the poems highlighted the romance of the occasion. Around £100 was made for village hall funds.
Whist drive -There were 20 tables in play at the whist and domino drive in Knowle Green Village Hall. On Wednesday, March 2nd, military whist and dominoes will be played in the hall at 7-30 p.m., admission £1.50, including tea and biscuits. All welcome.
Re-opening - The official re-opening of Knowle Green Village Hall by Mr Syd Brown, following alterations and redecoration will take place at the annual memorial lunch on Sunday, March 6th. Tickets are £10 including a buffet lunch and entertainment by The Sue Ryder Girls. It is hoped as many people as possible will go along and view the hall following its £17,000 upgrade.
