A total of £750 was raised by staff at Homebase in Clitheroe towards this year’s Salvation Army Toy Appeal.

The funds were raised through cake sales, a Christmas raffle and a “guess the bear’s name” competition.

A spokeswoman for Homebase in Clitheroe, Chloe Walton said: “We appreciate all the generous donations from the public, whether that be money or toys.

“All of the money raised here at Homebase, Clitheroe, has helped to buy an abundance of toys which I’m sure will be enjoyed and appreciated a lot by less fortunate families at Christmas time.”
