Lancashire Day turned out to be a “reyt good do” when the Clitheroe Ukulele Orchestra turned up at The Manor House, Chatburn to entertain the elderly residents.

Twenty members of the orchestra thrilled all present with their excellent music and singing talents. Old favourite melodies were followed by Christmas Carols and all enjoyed a sing-along.

The Lancashire theme continued throughout the day with Lancashire meals including hot pot, black pudding, Lancashire cheese and parkin.

The popular Ukulele Orchestra meet weekly for rehearsals, and detail are on their website www.clitheroeukulele.club
