Would-be cyclists are invited to join Clitheroe Bike Club’s series of introductory rides, starting on Sunday, May 3rd.
It’s for those new to cycling, returning to cycling or just wanting to have a go, possibly inspired by last year’s Tour de France Grand Depart in Yorkshire. The ride will be at an easy pace, at a distance to suit all those attending and will be led by experienced club members who are fully qualified cycling ride leaders. The leaders will be happy to answer questions while out on the ride and will be following the club motto of “No one gets left behind.”
The first ride meets outside The Platform Gallery, Station Road, at 10am, and subsequent rides will meet at the same time and location on Sunday, June 7th, and Sunday, July 5th. The rides are free to for anyone aged 16 or above and the only stipulation is that all wear a cycling helmet.
Clitheroe Bike Club’s 200-plus members take part in a wide range of cycling disciplines, such as road cycling, mountain biking, cyclocross, time trialling, track cycling, cyclosportives, as well as organising holidays and short breaks by bike, both in this country and abroad.
The club meets every first and third Wednesday of every month, at Clitheroe Rugby Club, Littlemoor Road, from 7-30pm. Further information: email firstname.lastname@example.org or call David on 07890 056095.
