Langho therapists served up a dose of relaxation at the launch of a new dementia cafe.

The Sanctuary of Healing and Ribble Valley Dementia Alliance have teamed up to offer a range of weekly therapies to people with dementia and their carers.

The cafe opened its doors on Wednesday, May 2nd, and dished out coffee and cake in calm and bright surroundings for £5 per person.

RVDA chairperson Sue Bibby said: “We’re so pleased to be offering something different to people with dementia and their carers, and we believe the therapies on offer can be beneficial to all."

A raft of relaxing treatments and group activities will be on the menu at the Dewhurst Road venue in the coming weeks and Crossroads nurses will offer respite to carers.
