A team of pub darts players continued their fundraising effort for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation last weekend.

Chris Flynn organised the team of regulars at The Horseshoe on Bawdlands, who played competitive darts against other teams from noon on Saturday until noon on Sunday.

175 legs were played and more than 165,000 points scored throughout the 24-hour-period. Licensees Gary and Lisa Madden did a great job keeping the players refreshed and fed throughout their darts marathon.

A total of £945 was raised, both by sponsorship of the players and by collections. This brings the total raised by the pub so far this year to more than £2,000. The pub’s next fund raiser for the charity will be a 24-hour poker marathon.
