FRIENDS who got together for a fun evening of fund raising were bowled over by the amount raised for the “Help Whip Cancer” appeal.

Mandy Wilson of Siddows Avenue, Clitheroe, held a Pampered Chef evening at her home with the aim of all funds raised going towards the well-deserving cancer appeal and the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Preston, where she herself received treatment last year for breast cancer.

Mandy said: “We were absolutely over the moon we were able to raise over £500. Along with the Pampered Chef event, we also held a raffle, sold cakes and had a good as new stall. I would like to sincerely thank all those who attended as well as those who donated and provided items for the raffle and stalls.”
