The four-year anniversary of the death of Clitheroe woman Wendy Mullins from cancer was marked by family and friends with a jacuzzi and beach- themed party organised in her memory by her daughter, Amy.

Money was raised for Macmillan Cancer Care at the event by making and selling cocktails, sangria and burgers. Activities such as face painting, men’s body waxing and a raffle all added to the overall amount of £655.99 raised on the day.

Amy’s aunt, Joanne Price, said: “All of Amy’s family and friends are very proud of her achievement in raising this money for Macmillan Cancer Care and we would like to thank her for a really memorable day. Wendy would have been so proud of her too.

“We would also like to say a big thank you to all the shopkeepers for their kind donations for the raffle.

“We are really grateful to local celebrity Danny Sebastian, of ‘Del boys & Dealers’, for his waiter service and attention to the ladies.”
