Grindleton schoolchildren visit St Ambrose’s Church

Pupils - Parishioners of St Ambrose Church, Grindleton, were pleased to welcome the pupils of the primary school to a morning service of Holy Communion. During the service, pupils sang “Sun in the morning” and “We are here together”. Some of the pupils also relayed all the things for which they were grateful.

The service was conducted by the rector, Canon D.W. Mewis. In his address he explained the use of Aquaboxes and their contents. The collection of items for use in these boxes will be the Lentern Project this year.

Spuds and Puds - Stonehill House, Grindleton, by permission of Dr Anne Huson, is the venue for a “Spuds and Puds Evening” on Friday, April 1st, at 7-30 p.m. Tickets are £12.50 and are available from Carol Pye tel. 01200 441507 or any St Ambrose Church member. Enjoy delicious food including good old fashioned puddings, there will also be a licensed bar.
