A top potter, who won last year’s surprise TV hit the Great Pottery Throw Down, is to open a Clitheroe ceramics exhibition.

Matthew Wilcock (23), who triumphed in the BBC2 show, will open Clay Collective at the Platform Gallery in Station Road on Saturday.

The exhibition, which includes some of Matthew’s work, is being run in collaboration with the Northern Potters Association, whose members include some of the region’s top potters and ceramicists whose work visitors will get the chance to see.

The exhibition runs until Saturday, October 8th.
