Four keen golfers have scored a hole in one for charity after completing a marathon challenge on a notoriously tough course.
James Evans, Tom Kilby, Danny Jones and Simon Anderton, who all work for Evans Accountants in Clitheroe, played four rounds (72 holes) in 14 hours, walking 20 miles that was equivalent to climbing 179 floors as the course at Mytton Fold where they played is very hilly. Staff opened the course early and kept the players supplied with bacon butties to keep them going throughout the challenge. The four set a target to raise £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Care but they have smashed this by £210 and climbing.
