Snazzy suits and posh frocks will be donned when Clitheroe Chamber of Trade hosts a night of R&B and soul for its annual ball.

To be held at The Grand, in York Street, on Friday, March 9th, the spectacular event will raise money for the North West Air Ambulance.

The chamber’s social secretary, Katie Winstanley, who runs Megabites in Moor Lane, said: “This year the Chamber is continuing to support the NWAA and we want to add to the total of over £700 that we raised at the Christmas Festival in December.

“To achieve this, we have been fortunate our ball organiser, Owen Phillips, of Ribcaged Productions, has secured the famous duo, ‘The Music of the Blues Brothers’ featuring Gaz Jenkins as Jake Blues and Kieran Sims as Elwood Blues.

“Dance the night away or just watch in admiration, there is something for everyone and a feel good factor; you will want to repeat. The entertaining performance will feature some famous comedy moments from the films and their superb high-energy dance routines.”

She added: “Gaz and Kieran are professionally trained vocalists and actors with a raft of musical theatre credits between them, but their true love is fulfilling their lifelong ambition of becoming The Blues Brothers! A great show, don’t miss it!

The ball begins at 7pm and tickets are £38, including an arrival drink, a three-course meal, coffee and mints, plus a fabulous live show, They are available from Katie Winstanley at Megabites, 3 Moor Lane, or by
