Clitheroe residents are invited to find out more about the difference they could make to vulnerable youngsters living in care at an open day today.

Foster Care Associates (FCA) North West are hosting an open day today (July 19th), at the FCA Clitheroe office, Peggy Hills Farm, Henthorne Road, Clitheroe, BB7 3BY, from 10 a.m. through to 4 p.m. Staff will be on hand for an informal chat about the challenges and rewards of a career in fostering.

“Foster carers provide a safe and stable family home for young people, giving them a chance to thrive,” explains FCA North West registered manager, Colette Abbiss. “FCA is looking to recruit more compassionate, resilient and hard-working foster carers that place the need of children first and have the transferable skills to care for troubled youngsters.”

Colette added: “FCA ensures carers are well equipped with the skills they need for the fostering task, by providing 24 hour support, on-going training and support from a team of professionals, FCA and the carers it works closely with, are able to provide vulnerable young people with the best possible care.”

If you think you have the patience, commitment and enthusiasm to foster a child or young person in Clitheroe, have a spare bedroom and a willingness to learn, come along the FCA open day or contact FCA direct on 0800 023 4561 or visit
