Epiphany celebration in Ribchester

EpiphanyEpiphany and the arrival of the Three Kings with their gifts to baby Jesus, was marked in St Wilfrid's Church, Ribchester, by a lively re-enactment by the primary school children.

The rector, staff and children were congratulated on their presentation and at the close, the rector marked the church door with the traditional symbols that denoted this visitation by Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar, and gave each of the children chalk to encourage them to mark their own front doors.

Parish councilMembers of Ribchester Parish Council gave thanks to the people who contributed to the illuminated village crib in Church Street, with a notice on the council notice board.

Pudding walkRoger Dolphin's annual after-Christmas walk, for the 22nd time, was a notable success with more than 40 people taking part.
