Children at a Clitheroe school care club have raised £300 to sponsor a class of three guide dog puppies.
The youngsters at Brookside Out of School Care Club worked tirelessly over the last year to raise the funds. A care club breakfast cafe was set up where the children waited on their parents serving them tea, coffee, toast, croissants etc. Other fundraisers included a Christmas raffle with the chance to win a hamper, a fundraising cupcake stall, a bring and buy stall, a sweepstake, a book grid and a spooky Hallowe’en cake competition.
There was also generous donations from individual children and an ongoing penny jar that the children and their parents could donate to.
