Next month sees the return of the careers information event BRAG.
A collaborative partnership between Bowland High, Ribblesdale, St Augustine’s RC High School and Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, the four Ribble Valley Schools in conjunction with East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and Skills Funding Agency (SFA) have joined forces to organise the “BRAG About Your Future” event.
This successful event, which will be held on Tuesday October 6th, is now entering its fifth year and is an important date in the school diary.
Year 11 pupils from all four schools are invited to attend the event which will be held at The Grand in Clitheroe and will be open to these pupils and their parents/carers from 3 to 6-30 pm.
The fundamental objective of the event is to help pupils obtain impartial careers information and enable them to make well informed and realistic decisions about their futures beyond school, whether in further education or employment.
The exciting event will provide an opportunity for pupils to find out information from colleges, employers, sixth forms, and training providers, enabling them to achieve their individual career aspirations.
Anyone who would like any further information about the event, at which pupils will need to register upon arrival, should please contact the event’s organisers. They are Helen Dakin at Bowland High who can be emailed on firstname.lastname@example.org or Julia Billington at Ribblesdale High School whose email is email@example.com
