Children from St James’ C of E Primary school were invited to visit new Clitheroe housing development Ribble Meadow.
The tour was set up by the Barratt Legacy Programme, as part of Barratt Manchester’s pledge to leave a lasting legacy in an area where their developments are situated. The pupils were given a tour of the new houses and show homes by the company’s mascot Barry, and learnt about the equipment used in building and developing homes.
The children’s teacher Mrs Bigmore said: “An experience such as this away from the classroom really helps to reinforce the children’s learning and understanding of the real world.”
The children were each given a packed pencil case during the tour of the development of three and four bedroom properties.
