Holly Bailey, 19, from Clitheroe, was a finalist in the RAC National Student of the Year Award, which runs concurrently with the National Cooling Awards held at the Park Lane Hilton London.
The award recognises the achievements of the best up-and-coming young engineers and celebrates their contribution to the industry.
Holly, who is an employee of Acme refrigeration, Blackburn, was one of the top 10 finalists for the national award. She came fourth in the country and was presented with a highly commended award.
With a significant number of entries this year, the award judges faced a tough task in choosing the top 10 across the UK from such a strong field. Holly was accompanied by her mum, Jackie Bailey, to the awards ceremony.
