A Clitheroe Royal Grammar School sixth-from group is showing an inspiring Josh Fox film on Thursday (November 17th) at the school theatre in York Street.
Starting at 6 pm, organiser, Anna Marshall, a Year 13 pupil is very enthusiastic and hopes people will attend. The teenager said: “The film is a documentary on climate change which I found cheered me up enormously! We are organising it to raise money for the charity Amnesty International, and I am selling tickets at £4 on the door.
She added: “‘How to Let Go of the World and Love All The Things Climate Can’t Change’, is by Oscar-Nominated director Josh Fox, who continues in his deeply personal style, investigating climate change – the greatest threat our world has ever known.
“Travelling to 12 countries on six continents, the film acknowledges that it may be too late to stop some of the worst consequences and asks, what is it that climate change can’t destroy? What is so deep within us that no calamity can take it away? It ends up being very uplifting somehow and we all need this feeling these days!”
