MEMBERS of Crossroads Care Ribble Valley gathered for their annual general meeting.
Thanks to Ribble Valley Mayor Coun. Simon Hore, the meeting was held at the council chamber and saw 65 people attend.
Coun. Hore introduced Dr Mike Smith, deputy chairman of Crossroads Care, who explained the good service and high standard the charity had provided in spite of the difficulties made by all the changes and restrictions in care provision.
The professionalism of the highly qualified staff and their dedication had been a very important factor in the success of the previous year.
He especially thanked the residents of the Ribble Valley for their ongoing generous support, which enabled a quality of care to be given to Carers in excess of that funded by Social Services.
Following Dr Smith’s address, several carers who used the service spoke of how valuable Crossroads Care had proved in their own particular needs.
After the formalities a buffet was served during which the President of Clitheroe Rotary, Mr David Openshaw, presented a cheque for £1,450 to Mrs Laura Grasby the scheme manager. He was thanked by Dr Smith.
