Young biker airlifted to hospital after Clitheroe A59 crash

A 20-YEAR-OLD biker was airlifted to hospital after he came off his bike on the A59.

The driver of the white Yahama YZF125 was flown by the North West Air Ambulance to the Royal Blackburn Hospital shortly before 3 p.m. today (Friday).

The motorcyclist, who hit the central reservation of the Pendle Road junction with the A59, was conscious and breathing but may have suffered some fractures.
