A woman arrested on the evidence of a reflection caught on CCTV in a Clitheroe shop window later pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of perfume worth £157 from Boots.

Kerry Marie Yates (29), of Leven Grove, Darwen, was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £35 costs. Mr Gareth Price (defending) said the CCTV provided no evidence of any offence, but, to her credit, Yates made a full and frank admission when interviewed about the offence by the police.
