Police are asking Ribble Valley residents to reduce the risk of becoming a victim by ensuring their homes and windows are locked at all times.

The advice follows an incident on Sunday (June 7th) where offenders approached a detached house in Chatburn Road, Clitheroe, while the occupants were asleep inside.

They opened the side door that had been left unlocked and left using the keys to steal the Honda car on the drive. At 2-15 am on Monday the stolen vehicle was seen by police in Blackburn and successfully stopped.
