Toddler bitten by dog in Burnley incident

Emergency services, including the North West Air Ambulance and police were called to an address in Chestnut Rise after reports an 18-month-old toddler had been attacked by a dog.

The incident happened at around 4-45pm on Saturday and the air ambulance landed at Reel Cinema on Centenary Way,

It is believed that the victim was a young boy.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We were called at around 4-45pm to Chestnut Rise, Burnley, to reports of a dog bite on an 18-month-old child. Thankfully, the bite doesn’t look serious at this point."
