Police issue warning to motorists after vehicles driven in anti-social manner on Valley moorland
and live on Freeview channel 276
The warning has been issued by PCSO Hayes and PC Chew, of Ribble Valley Police, after reports of vehicles being driven off road illegally.
In a Facebook post, they said: "We have recently received reports of vehicles being driven off-road illegally in the Ribble Valley, particularly on the Green Lane between Chipping and Dinkling Green and on the Salter Fell track.

Hide Ad"This has had a detrimental effect on the moorland and common land that the vehicles have covered, with damage to certain areas being clearly visible, presenting landowners with increased maintenance costs.
"Driving vehicles on Green Lanes is legal, however, some are venturing onto open fell and moorland, which is not permitted, and those who ignore these warnings risk having their vehicles seized."
