Police car rammed after chase involving vehicle believed to be linked to supply of drugs in Burnley

The Burnley North neighbourhood policing team, assisted by the armed response vehicle, tactical operations and intelligence reports, dealt with several incidents and have appealed for the public ,who have any information regarding drugs being supplied in the area, to get in touch with them.
A spokesman said: "We have had a busy weekend and are working hard to keep the streets of Burnley safe and rid them of drugs."

Hide AdOn Friday evening a man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs with the assistance of police dog Harri. A large amount of cash was recovered, along with a suspected drug dealer phone.
The suspect has been released pending further inquries and consulation with the crown prosecution service.
On Saturday evening a blue VW Golf, believed to be linked to the supply of drugs, failed to stop for the team and, after a short chase, a police vehicle was rammed by the car.
Luckily no-one was injured and four males were detained. Cash and phones were seized and an investigation is underway.

Hide AdLast night officers arrested a male on suspicion of possession of firearms offences. Five tasers were seized, along with a large number of other offensive weapons. The male has been released pending further inquiries and consulation with CPS.
