Man arrested after suspected Class A drugs and weapons seized during police raid in Nelson

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug supply after a quantity of suspected Class A drugs and weapons were seized during a morning raid.

Officers from the Pendle taskforce along with local PCSOs executed a search warrant at an address on Regent Place, Nelson.

A spokesman for Nelson, Brierfield and Barrowford Police said: "A quantity of suspected Class A drugs and weapons have been seized by the police, along with other items linked to the supply of drugs. A 40-year-male has been arrested on suspicion of drug supply.

"The supply of drugs has a detrimental affect on our communities and is often the common cause for violence and disorders.
