Man and woman arrested after taxi driver left with 'life-changing injuries'
A 21-year-old woman, from Brierfield, was arrested yesterday (February 11th) on suspicion of GBH, while a33-year-old man, from Colne, was arrested on suspicion of the same offence this afternoon. They are both currently in custody.
Their arrest came after police were called at around 7-45pm on Tuesday (February 9th), initially to reports of a collision on Ruskin Avenue, Colne. However, officers attended and found a man, aged in his 60s, had been assaulted and suffered serious neck injuries.

Hide AdIt is believed he was punched to the ground and then assaulted by a man and a woman.
Following the assault, the man and woman have then gone to a property nearby.
The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
Det. Insp. Martin Melvin, of East CID, said: “First and foremost our thoughts continue to remain with the victim and his family at this distressing time.

“I would like to thank the public for their support so far and continue to appeal for anyone with information or dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage to contact police.”
