Luxury watches worth £4,000, plus foreign currency to the value of £800, were stolen in a raid at a house in Read.

Police are appealing for information and urging householders to keep windows and doors locked at all times after burglars entered the rear of the property in Straits Lane by disabling the alarm.

Once inside, they made off with the two Omega watches – one worth £2,500, while another £1,500, foreign currency and the keys to an Aston Martin parked outside the house.

The break-in occurred between noon and 4pm last Thursday (June 5th). Insp. Hassan Khan, of Clitheroe Police, is urging witnesses who may have spotted anyone acting suspiciously in the Straits Lane area of Read to come forward and contact officers on either 101 or the free and confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
