Former Clitheroe Royal Grammar School student Karen Wade has been appointed as a new partner at Roebucks Solicitors.

Karen graduated in law from Hull University, completed her post-graduate training at the College of Law, York, and worked in Manchester before joining Roebucks in April, 2009, as a specialist family solicitor.

She advises clients on a wide range of family law issues, including arrangements for children, divorce, financial resolution and domestic violence.

Karen was recognised by the Law Society for her excellence in children law in November, 2012, when she was made a member of their Children Law Accreditation Scheme.

Alongside existing partner Alison Nolan, Karen will spearhead the department in driving through the changes in public funding which came into force on April 1st.

Karen lives in Clitheroe with partner Graham and enjoys running, swimming, travel and shopping.

A keen fund-raiser, she raised several hundred pounds by taking part in the Cancer Research Dryathalon and will take part in the Great Manchester Run on May 26th.
