Crackdown on crime in Padiham
The shop radio scheme is back up and running thanks to the Neighbourhood Policing Team, town centre management team and businesses in the town.
Ten shops in the town now have working radios which all link with each other and have a direct link to the local police and monitored CCTV department.

They can give descriptions of the culprits over the airwaves so it makes them easier to capture on the CCTV cameras.
The successful scheme was first launched in 2007 when police revealed that in just six weeks 80% of shoplifting crimes committed were detected with the help of the town centre radio scheme.
