CLITHEROE man Daniel Matthew King (24), of Black Lane Croft, was fined £130 with £100 costs by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to resisting a police officer.

The court heard that police were called to Salthill Road after a report of a domestic dispute. They went to arrest King for a breach of the peace, but he started to resist and became verbally abusive.

Miss Liz Parker (defending) said King apologised for his behaviour.
