Pop band Tyro are set to rock audiences in Clitheroe tonight (Friday)

A fundraising curry evening is being held in aid of Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool, at St Michael and St John's Parish Centre.

Tyro will take centre stage after 9-30pm and will perform for an hour. Their set will include about 15 numbers, including real crowd-pleasers from hits performed by Blur and Franz Ferdinand, along with a few of their own numbers from their last EP - Ballad of a Playboy; these numbers are always well received by dance lovers.

In addition, DJ Jazz Sohal will take to the stage at 10-45pm and will play a "vinyl Soul" set for a further hour.

The first part of tonight's event consists of a curry meal. Tickets have been sold for this, however, tickets for the entertainment section of the evening are just £3 and are a limited number which have to be pre-ordered by calling organiser, Derek Russell, on 07974 366610. Tickets will not be available on the door.
