Manley continuously harassed the landlady of a local pub and stole a trolley full of items including an electric guitar from Asda in Colne.

He was issued with a three-year anti-social behaviour order banning him from entering Colne town centre.

He is also prevented from having any open container of alcohol in a public place and from being drunk in a public place.

Sgt Keith Beckley, of Colne’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Manley is well known to shopkeepers, licensees and visitors of Colne, Nelson and Burnley town centres for his drunken anti-social behaviour and intimidating, imposing manner.

“This sentence is the result of a lot of hard work from PC Karen Fitzpatrick, the Pendle Anti-social Behaviour case worker, and PC Laura Hornby, the Community Beat Manager for the town centre.

“Manley has been causing upset and distress to the local community for a long time.

“It is due to the dedication of PC Fitzpatrick and PC Hornby that this sentence and Anti Social Behaviour Order have come about.”

PC Hornby added: “Manley’s behaviour has caused a lot of fear to the community.

“This sentence should send out a strong message to those who think that alcohol fuelled anti-social behaviour is acceptable.

“Behaviour like this will not be tolerated in Colne or elsewhere within Lancashire.

“We will continue to take action against anyone who behaves in such a manner in the future.”
