Colne Asda store reveals new look
The official launch of the new-look store facilities was attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Pendle, Graham and Joanna Roach, Andrew Stephenson and Pendle Council leader Coun. Joe Cooney, as well as representaives from the Royal British Legion, Colne Camera Club and the NHS, who are already planning to make use of the new community room.
The official visitors were also shown round the store’s new restaurant facilities and kitchen

Hide AdAsda’s Diane Springthorpe and Billie-Jo Hirst helped to launch the new community room, with Diane, the store’s Community Life Champion, saying: “It’s an amazing project which I hope will benefit our whole community.”
The Mayor added: “Asda have helped over the past few years in supporting things like the Waterside Youth Club and the Royal British Legion, supporting its new headquarters in Barrowford. They are also working closely with Barrowford Primary School for a major funding bid to support Autism Support Group.”
The NHS is hosting its Stop Smoking Service at the community room on Tuesdays, 4pm to 7pm, from April 14th. And Colne Camera Club will be there every Thursday night.
Store manager Michaela Doherty explained: “As well as all the exciting new features, our new-look store is located on a thriving retail park. The other retailers give the site an extensive offer; we can’t wait to welcome new retailers over the coming months.
“We’ve worked hard to ensure the store accommodates the needs of all our customers and I’m sure they will enjoy the new shopping experience.”
