A tractor run will be held next month in memory of a former Clitheroe Young Farmer.

Louise Hartley lost her battle to a rare form of ovarian cancer in 2016, at the age of 24. She was a journalist at the Farmers Guardian and a supporter of the Lancashire Holstein Young Breeders Club.

Her friends at the Clitheroe Young Farmers Club are hosting the tractor run on Saturday, May 12th, starting and ending at Clitheroe Auction Mart. The event, which begins at 10am, will approximately take two hours, taking a scenic route around the Ribble Valley, passing Louise’s home farm before returning back to the auction. Refreshments will be available before and after the run.

Ticket prices are £10 per tractor and £5 per passenger and the deadline to buy tickets is Saturday, April 28th. A bacon butty and a brew will be included in the ticket price. A raffle will also be held after the run with top prices up for grabs.

Anyone wishing to buy tickets is asked to contact Hazel on 07757667253.
