A 40-year-old Clitheroe man has appeared in court charged with two counts of theft.

Ashley Williams, of Riverside, appeared before Blackburn Magistrates on Wednesday (November 22nd) charged with allegedly stealing money to the value of £43,208 from Barbara Bury, between April 19th, 2009 and February 8th, 2013. Williams is also accused of allegedly stealing money to the value of £68,820 from Charles Blundell, between April 29th, 2012 and December 4th, 2013.

No plea was entered and he was given unconditional bail until January 2nd, 2018, where he will appear at Preston Crown Court.
