traditional home-baking of the highest order, exquisite hand-made crafts and high quality home produce, plants and preserves are all on the menu when Clitheroe Country Market re-opens in Clitheroe United Reformed Church hall on Tuesday, March 15th.
All the baking and savouries are guaranteed homemade. The preserves, including jams, marmaldes and chuntneys, contain no preservatives, and the same can be said of the hand-made savouries. All have that unique good old fashioned taste. Hand-made cards and gifts can also be made to order. And in these days of carbon footprints, the items are made locally.
All these items and more will be available to buy from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. each Tuesday until mid-December. There is the opportunity to order items, to be sure you don’t miss out, as most sell like the proverbial hot cakes. Coffee and tea will be also be available, as will the popular cake of the week feature, when customers can purchase a slice of cake to go with their drinks.
The market is run as a co-operative and welcomes any new bakers or helpers. It is very much a social occasion for customers and helpers alike. A warm welcome awaits anyone who would like to become part of the market. Just come along to one of the sessions to find out more.
