A Christmas lunch and plenty of seasonal cheer was provided by The Salvation Army for those who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day.
Special guests arrived in the form of Clitheroe Town Mayor Coun. Val Cooper and her husband Gary, who mingled with twenty or so guests, and were also on hand to serve the tea and coffee. A wonderful meal was prepared by the staff of Clitheroe Hospital.
Captain Elizabeth Smith of The Salvation Army said: It was, as always, a really lovely occasion. The mayor’s visit really made everyone’s day and it was wonderful of Val and Gary to give up some of their time on Christmas day to be with to be with us.”
