Scouts from Clitheroe will this week visit the annual Christmas Experience hosted at Bowley Scout Campsite in Great Harwood.
With more than 1,000 young people attending the event over the week, it is set to be a truly magical week that will see volunteers work to turn the campsite into a Christmas wonderland.
The Scouts and Beavers will start off by riding in a new addition for this year, Santa’s sleigh, before moving into Mother Christmas’ kitchen to bake some biscuits. This will be followed by a visit to Santa’s toy shop and the opportunity to ask the most famous reindeer any question they like.
One of the first attendees Erin, a seven-year-old Beaver Scout said: “I got to ask Rudolf why he has a red nose and I told him that he was my favourite reindeer ever! We got a present from Santa too – it was lots of fun.”
Spokesperson for the Scouts Chris Taylor said: “This year’s Christmas Experience is phenomenal – the team of volunteers have worked so hard to turn the adventure centre into a magical Christmas land and it looks amazing.”
