A choir hit all the right notes when they raised more than £1000 at a concert in aid of Aud-Med this festive season.
The show at the University of Central Lancashire was just one in a series of performances by the Valley Singers raising money for people living with hearing disabilities overseas.
Choir Chair Sheila Conway said: “We often perform concerts for charities and over the years we’ve raised a substantial amount of money. The concert for Aud-Med was especially gratifying. The amount raised was well above our expectations and the Valley Singers are proud to have donated so much money to a worthy cause”.
Chris Beardsley, the choir’s conductor, added: “We feel that the Valley Singers should not only be about entertainment. We want also to add something to the community. We are therefore delighted to be asked to do concerts in aid of charities; in fact we actively seek them out”.

Weekly rehearsals will begin on Monday, January 4th in the parish rooms of St Wilfred’s Church, Longridge at 7-30pm.
