Chief superintendent talk in Bolton-by-Bowland

SpellboundA nostalgic evening with Gordon and Anne Sharp, of "Spellbound" who will show films of the area from the 1930s to the present day will be held on Friday, February 4th, at 7-30 p.m., in Bolton-by-Bowland Village Hall.

Tickets are 5, including refreshments, available from 01200 447634/447263 or Bolton-by-Bowland village shop. Proceeds will go towards Cancer Research and the village hall.

FANSFriends and Neighbours group of Bolton-by-Bowland, met at the Spread Eagle, Sawley, for their annual meal. The night was enjoyed by all and thanks were given by Helen Tomlinson to Kate for the service and wonderful food provided.

The invitation party in November was an excellent evening where Mrs Lillian King gave an account about her position as Chief Superintendent of Greater Manchester Police Force. Food was provided by the ladies and thanks were given by Mrs Liz Moorhouse.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, February 2nd, when Julie James, of Finishing Touches, will bring along a display of items for a night out. This is an informal meeting for all to enjoy.

Whist driveA whist and domino drive is being held on Wednesday in Bolton-by-Bowland Village Hall at 7-30 p.m. Admission is 2.50 including supper.
