People with an interest in health matters are being invited to vet Lancashire’s NHS leaflets, booklets and other printed material.
Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust’s reader panel aims to ensure that information for NHS users and carers is of the highest quality, and can help play an important part in the road to a healthy recovery.
“It’s vital that the content we print is understandable, clear and concise so that important messages are not lost,” said Dee Roach, director of nursing, quality and governance at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.
“Joining our reader panel provides an invaluable perspective and will ensure that the information we provide to service users, their carers and family regarding the services and care we provide will be the best it can be to help aid recovery.
“Whether you are a current service user, or you have been in the past, if you have clinical or editorial experience or you are simply interested in ensuring high quality care, your insight would be extremely valuable in offering advice on the information the Trust is producing.”
Lancashire Care provides health and wellbeing services across the county including sexual health, respiratory, health improvement, mental health, memory assessment, eating disorder as well as offender healthcare.
Electronic copies of the publications will be sent to readers’ panel members via email, or hard copies can be posted upon request.
