A car has been destroyed in a suspected arson attack.

Fire crews from Clitheroe were called out in the early hours of the morning and used a hosereel jet to extinguish the flames on the car parked at the roadside in Barn Croft.

Crews believe the fire was started deliberately.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Police have been notified of the suspected arson. There were no casualties."
