Six Second World War medals have been stolen during a raid at a house in Mellor.
Police are appealing for information after offenders targeted the house at around 8pm last Thursday.
In a Facebook appeal, police said the victim and his family have been left very upset.
Police added: “We are appealing for information after a burglary at a house in Mellor on January 17th.
“Stolen in the burglary were six Second World War medals.
“This is understandably a very upsetting incident for both the victim and their family.
“If anyone has any information regarding this crime or sees any similar medals being advertised for sale then please contact us on 101 and quote log LC-20190117-1189.
“The medals are similar to the one’s pictured and include a Border’s regiment cap badge and possibly an end of war medal.”
