Electricity has been restored to most of the homes hit by a power cut this morning.

A power cut hit 332 homes in Slaidburn and Bolton-by-Bowland this morning due to a fault on the cables.

Engineers from Electricity Northwest have been working all morning to restore power. A spokesman for Electricity Northwest said: “Apart from three customers, all the remaining 229 households now have power. Engineers will remain on site this afternoon until electricity is back on in all homes.”
