Mum-of-three Mrs Michelle Sharples is the latest winner of £50 worth of Shop Clitheroe vouchers courtesy of Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce. Born and brought up in the town Michele is married to Paul and has three children, Daniel, Ashleigh and Dominic, as well as a grandson, Finlay. Michelle is well known to many people as she works full time as a self-employed courier and has previously worked in retail in the town centre. Having signed up for a Shop Clitheroe card over two years ago it typically takes her about a month to fill her card,
Michelle said: “I’m thrilled to have been rewarded for my loyalty to Clitheroe businesses. I do most of my shopping in town avoiding the queues associated with out-of-town shopping. The Shop Clitheroe card is so easy to use and with the backing of Clitheroe Chamber of Trade most of the independent shops already support the scheme. I would recommend everyone to get a card and remember to use it.”
Sarah Burke from Igloo, 37 Castle Street, Clitheroe, who presented Michelle with her vouchers, said: “We joined the scheme at its inception and have been busy stamping customers’ cards ever since. With two floors of furniture, accessories, gifts, art and mirrors, we have something for everyone.
“The Shop Clitheroe card is yet another initiative that the Chamber has taken from being just an idea to a fantastic tool for Clitheroe businesses, which rewards all our customers with no cost to the shopper.”
Shop Clitheroe is promoted by the Clitheroe Advertiser and Times. Details of how to get your card can be found at any business displaying the purple Castle logo or at www.visitclitheroe.co.uk/shopCard
