Former Clitheroe Royal Grammar School student Kella Bowers has been promoted to partner at Forbes Solicitors, the firm where she began her career.

Kella, originally from Clitheroe, who lives in Downham, is part of the large loss department within the insurance department which handles claims of a high financial value and of a complex nature.

Kella has more than 12 years’ experience in defendant insurer work and particularly specialises in claims against social services departments.

As well as advising local authorities on their approach to these cases, she also advises clients on their responses to national press coverage in high profile and sensitive cases including both written and broadcast media.

Martin Crabtree, insurance department managing partner, said: “Congratulations to Kella. She is a real asset to the department and her promotion is fully deserved.”
