A CLITHEROE gym played host to a worldwide audience recently when it held an important business seminar.
A team of eight from the USA, Jeremy Thiel, Carey Kepler, Nicole Hughes and Lisa Bender Thiel of Garage Gym Blueprint, Web Smith of SICFIT and Rob Orlando of Hybrid Athletics, teamed up to bring Real Biz Uncensored to CrossFit Clitheroe’s affilitiates in Europe.
The team travelled from Austin Texas and Stamford Conneticut to Lancashire, where they held a two day business seminar at CrossFit Clitheroe for 45 gym owners, representing over eight countries including England, Spain, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands, Iceland and Germany.
The event also received added importance by sponsorship from three major companies associated with the fitness industry through Rogue Europe (suppliers of equipment), Vita Coco (drinks) and Inov-8 (footwear) who not only sponsored the event but provided samples, gear and product testing for delegates.
The idea was the brainchild of Tony Cross, co-owner of CrossFit Clitheroe. He said: “Our gym is not just a place to train, it is an incredible ‘space’ split across three rooms and we are determined to make our mark in the teaching of CrossFit throughout the UK and Europe so we are the perfect location for events of this type.
“We are really pleased to be making our own contribution to the local economy as all the delegates had to stay locally so the hotels were doing a good trade and on the Saturday night we had a reception for 70 at Clitheroe’s Piccolino restaurant.”
