International chefs arrive for Langho food festival

A prestigious food festival featuring 25 Michelin-starred chefs gets under way this weekend at Northcote, Langho.

The annual Obsession festival, now in its 15th year and renowned globally, starts on Friday and runs until Saturday, February 7th.

Showcasing the best of the region, chef patron Nigel Haworth and director of wines Craig Bancroft have teamed up with Lancashire-based sponsors.

A host of international talent jetting in include three Michelin-starred chefs Klaus Efort from Germany, Jacob Jan Boerma from Holland and Enrico and Robert Cerea Italy respectively, Ken Hom and Shaun Hergatt from New York, Dieter Koshina from Portugal and Gaggan Anand from Bangkok.

They will be descend on Northcote for a 15-day series of showstopping dinners in the restaurant and in the luxurious Louis Roederer Private Dining Rooms.

Gold Medal Travel Group’s Pure Luxury brand are official travel sponsors, and other sponsors include Ribble Farm Fare for fruit and vegetables, Greaves Butchers for meats, Smith Sagar Ltd for sustainable fish, Marketing Lancashire, Maserati at Bowker Motor Group, Sunderland Peacock, Universal Cooling and Blackburn Audi.
